The NUS Students' Community Service Club (CSC) used to be under the wing of the Cultural Activities and Community Service Club (CACS) in NUS. The restructure of Cultural Activities & Community Service Club into 2 independent clubs – Cultural Activities Club and Community Service Club - was realised on the 1st of October 2002 to allow for specialisation in their mutually exclusive operations and greater flexibility as well as potential in development. Both clubs became separate constituent clubs under the NUS Student Union.

Here in CSC, we believe in continuous service to the community and that we have made tremendous progress over the years. To provide opportunities for NUS undergraduates to be exposed to various groups in the society with different needs, the following projects and programmes have been established under CSC:

10 core regular volunteering programs (RVPs)
7 special projects (SPs)
3 external projects (XPs)

By matching NUS students with differing competencies and interests to various needs in the society, we have maintained a strong link between the students and the society. Without a doubt, our club is steering towards the direction of fostering greater ties between the students and the community.

The NUS Volunteer Network
CSC is also part of the NUS Volunteer Network that is established in December 2007. Together with NUSSU Volunteer Action Committee (NVAC), Red Cross Humanitarian Network and Rotaract NUS, the network seeks to provide a wider range of volunteering opportunities.
